The resistive network shown in the Figure 57-3.1, feeds a resistive load (not shown in the figure) and the following values were measured:   V_i = 10.0 V , V_o = 4.50 V , I_i = 8.0 A and I₀ = 5.0 A. Make an evaluation of gains or losses related to power, voltage and current in the network.

For the case of the voltage it is known that:

Therefore, we conclude that there is a loss of voltage (note the negative sign of the result) of the order of - 6.94 dB with respect to the input signal.

For the current, the equation we will use is:

Therefore, we conclude that there is a loss of current (note the negative sign of the result) of the order of - 4.08 dB with respect to the input signal.

To analyze from the point of view of power, we must calculate the input power, P_i and the output power, P_o. Then:
