    We can define the Parameters "G" as:

    a) g11 ⇒ Open circuit input admittance.

    b) g12 ⇒ Open circuit reverse current gain.

    c) g21 ⇒ Open circuit direct voltage gain.

    d) g22 ⇒ Short-circuit output impedance.

    We calculate g11 and g21 making I2 = 0 that is, a circuit open to Port 2, while in Port 1, we put a voltage source V1 or a current source I1. So, knowing V1 , I1 and V2 we can determine these parameters.

    g11 = I1 / V1        and       g21 = V2 / V1
    eq.   34-03

    In the same way, we calculate g12 and g22 connecting a voltage source V2 or a current source I2 to Port 2,  while we make Port 1 as an short circuit,   that is, V1 = 0. Then we determine the parameters.

    g22 = V2 / I2        and       g12 = I1 / I2
    eq.   34-04

    When g12 = - g21, we say that the circuit is RECIPROCAL.

    See the Figure 34-02 a model of an equivalent circuit of Hybrid Inverse Parameters.
